1] QR codes can potentially be an effective form of marketing , however, until more devices are created which can read QR codes, and the general public is made more aware of QR codes, QR codes will not be an effective from of marketing. In the foreseable future QR codes could be the next big thing, however, right now they are not an effective form because very few people know about them.
2] A Hashtag is a link which is used on Twitter when someone wants to tag a post that other people are looking for, which they are made by using a # and then the title of what you want the hashtag to be labeled as.
3]A Blog is a type of content management system which makes it easy for anyone to publish short articles called posts.
4] The maximum number that a person can type on Twitter is 140 characters, which I believe that this is a not a sufficient number of characters because often times you want to be able to get your whole message out to the public, while with Twitter you are limited to the message that you can put out with only 140 characters, and often times it requires a specialized site such as bitly.com, in order for a person or company to create a link which their followers could then click on in order to learn about something.
5] The name Blog derives from Web and Log, and it was created in 1997.
6] An example of a website which shortens URLs is bitly.com, which the purpose of these websites is to help create a link which people can click on in someone's post, on sites such as Twitter or any other social media site, that restrict the number of characters that a person or company can use.
7] Blogs are made of posts.
